When Porfell Wildlife Park & Animal Sanctuary opened in 1989 it was just a small farm with a few pigs and chickens. Now, it’s also home to exotic animals including beautiful birds like a range of parrots and owls, old reptiles like our giant leopard tortoises, amazing monkeys, graceful zebra and eland, crazy ostrich and an ever-growing gang of meerkats. But things are never static here. We’re taking in new arrivals all the time, so see our latest news for updates.
Porfell is bigger than it looks, so put aside a good half day to make the most of your visit. In addition to the main enclosures which are home to the majority of animals here, be sure to visit areas listed on the right.
